Activities:

Founded in 2020, Alkhariqun have been organizing art projects and accompanying other artists in their art production. In fact, artistic production and its dissemination are at the heart of the collective’s activities. Thus, Alkhariqun have been participating in different events that include exhibitions, debates, workshops, talks, and conferences. Alkhariqun are also active online thanks to content creation on different platforms and social media.

Missions:

The collective Alkhariqun is of a cultural vocation. Its primary mission is to take the Moroccan culture as a rich and diverse source of creation and artistic research and share its different graphic manifestations with the world. At the core of Al Khariqun’s activities and services is a genuine aspiration to promote the expression of Moroccan artists, to support them in their research, and to help them gain visibility. The secondary objective is to contribute to the growth of Morocco’s cultural and creative industries, investing in human resources to overcome challenges and obstacles that may hinder the public’s access to the enriching realms of art, culture, and education.

Values:

In addition to the five central values of Alkhariqun: honesty, honor, respect, courage, and altruism, the collective promotes other humanist values thanks to its productions. Among these, we count the respect for diversities, the protection of personal freedoms, the promotion of multiculturalism, the raising of awareness in regard to ecological problems, and the encouragement of the pursuit of dreams and personal fulfillment.

Approach:

In order to fulfill their missions, Alkhariqun actively engages in multiple collaborations and alliances, recognizing that building and sharing are collective endeavors. This collective spirit emanates from a local perspective and extends to a global scale. As a result, Alkhariqun’s publications draw inspiration from national realities that embody the rich identity of Morocco, tapping into its heritage while staying firmly grounded in the present. This thrust from the local scene also serves as a point of connection to other global cultures that surround us, shaping the Moroccan identity as part of the broader African and Middle Eastern identity.
